A 28-year-old man was seriously injured during a police chase in Ste-Catherine early on Sunday morning.

Police said they don’t fear for the man’s life.

The chase began at 2:30 a.m. when local police saw the man driving at high speed and not making any mandatory stops.

When officers attempted to pull him over, the man accelerated. He collided with two parked cars and a parked motorcycle, rolling his vehicle in the process.

The investigation has been transferred to Quebec’s Bureau of Independent Investigators.
