A 60-year-old man died in a collision between a motorcycle and an SUV.
The crash happened shortly after midnight Wednesday just south of the Metropolitan on Lacordaire Blvd.
The rider was heading north when the SUV made a left-hand turn onto Paimpol St. directly in front of the motorcycle.
It appears the rider could not avoid the SUV and smashed into the right rear door.
Paramedics rushed the motorcyclist to hospital where he died from his injuries.
The SUV driver, a man in his 50s, was treated at the scene for nervous shock but was not physically injured in any way.
Police believe both men had a green light.
