Here is a partial list of road closings in Montreal and the surrounding areas for the weekend of Aug. 1

Champlain Bridge

Two out of three lanes Montreal-bound lanes will be closed Friday at 11 p.m. They will reopen Saturday morning at 7 a.m.

Victoria Bridge

The bridge will be completely closed from 11 p.m. Sunday until Monday morning at 5 a.m.

Jacques Cartier Bridge

The bridge will be closed for the final fireworks show of the season at La Ronde from 8:30 p.m. to 11:45 p.m. Saturday.

Mederic-Martin Bridge (Laval)

Northbound, two lanes will be closed between Cote Vertu and Cartier Blvds. Friday at 11:59 p.m. They will reopen Saturday at 7 a.m., but will be off-limits again Saturday at 11:59 p.m. until Sunday morning at 9.

Southbound, between Cartier Blvd. and Dudemaine St., two lanes will be closed from 11:59 p.m. until 6 a.m. Saturday, then again Saturday at 11:59 p.m. until Sunday morning at 6.

Charles de Gaulle Bridge

The bridge will be completely closed westbound, between the exit to the Highway 640 E and Henri Bourassa Blvd., from 11 p.m. Friday until Saturday at 6 a.m., and again from 11:59 p.m. Saturday until Sunday at 8 a.m.

Suggested detours: Highway 640 E, Sherbrooke St., the Le Gardeur Bridge, Highway 40 W, Henri Bourassa Blvd.

Bonaventure Expressway

Closed Saturday from 7 p.m. until 11:45 p.m. for the fireworks, along with entrances from Greene Ave. and Notre Dame, de la Cathedrale and Duke Sts.

Suggested detours: University and St. Antoine Sts.

Highway 13

Access from Highway 13 southbound toward Highway 20 W will be closed Saturday at 10:30 p.m. and reopened at 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

Highway 20

The highway will be closed eastbound, between the exit for Highway 520 and the entry to Highway 13 and 32nd Ave., Friday at 11:59 p.m. until Saturday at 7 a.m., and again Sunday at 11:30 p.m. until Monday at 5 a.m.

Westbound, two of three lanes will be closed between 55th Ave. and the Dorval Circle Friday night at 11:30 until 7 a.m. Saturday; it will be completely closed between Highways 13 and 520 Saturday at 11:59 p.m. until Sunday morning at 8; and two of three lanes will be closed at 1st Ave. Sunday at 11:30 p.m. until Monday morning at 5.

St. Pierre Interchange

Access to Highway 138 W and the Mercier Bridge from Highway 20 will be cut off Sunday night at 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday

And the ramp to access to Highway 20 E and downtown Montreal from Highway 138 E will be closed Friday at 11 until Saturday at 8 a.m.

Highway 25

Northbound, exit 4 (Souligny Ave. W) will be completely closed Friday at 11 p.m. until Saturday at 7 a.m., and again Saturday at 11 p.m. until Sunday at 8 a.m.

Southbound, the highway will be closed between the exit for Sherbrooke St. and the entrance from Tellier St. Saturday from 12:30 a.m. to 7 a.m. and again Sunday from 1:30 a.m. to 8 a.m.

Highway 40

Eastbound, the highway will be closed between the Hymus Blvd. exit and the entrance from Henri Bourassa and Hymus Blvd. Friday at 11:59 p.m. until Saturday at 7 a.m.

Ville Marie Expressway

The highway will be closed eastbound between the Mountain St. and Papineau Ave. exits for the fireworks.

It will also be closed between Mountain and Duke Sts. Sunday at 11:59 p.m. until Monday at 5 a.m.

Island of Montreal

St. Antoine will be closed completely eastbound between Amherst and Panet Friday at 11 until Monday at 5 a.m.

Highways 20/25/132

The access from Highway 20 westbound to Highway 132 eastbound and westbound and Marie Victorin Blvd. will be completely closed Sunday at 11:30 p.m. until Monday at 5:30 a.m.

The access from Highway 132 E to Highway 25 northbound will also be completely closed Sunday at 11:30 p.m. until Monday at 5:30 a.m.

And finally, the access from Highway 132 W to Highway 25 northbound will be closed Sunday at 11:30 p.m. until 5:30 a.m.
