Unionized workers at the Granby Zoo have voted in favour of a strike.

The union says it hopes for one final chance to negotiate a contract before taking three days of job action.

Employees say they do not want to accept concessions concerning working hours and vacation.

Management says even if employees go on strike the zoo will stay open and that most activities, including the aquatic park and rides, as well as restaurants, will remain open.

Workers who care for animals, as well as those who handle maintenance and administrative functions are unionized.
