A five-alarm fire broke out at a residential building on the Plateau Sunday afternoon.

Firefighters were called to 3712 Coloniale Ave. around 5 p.m. to battle the blaze, which started on the first floor and spread to the second and third floors and to the roof.

The three-storey building is attached on both sides to neighbouring buildings. The building is undergoing renovations so no one lives there at the moment, but buildings on either side were evacuated.

As of 5:45 p.m. there were no reported injuries.

There were about 125 firefighters at the scene of the fire.
