It’s been eight years since 9-year-old Cedrika Provencher vanished, a disappearance that gripped the province.

She was last seen July 31, 2007 asking people in her Trois-Rivieres neighbourhood if they had seen a lost dog that did not belong to her.

Cedrika’s bike was found not far away from where she was last spotted, leaned up against a fire hydrant.

A lawyer had offered a $170,000 reward for information that could help crack the case, but it expired in 2009.

A documentary film about the search to find Cedrika is expected to be released next year.

Her missing persons case is still open. Anyone with information is asked to call the Surete du Quebec at 1-800-659-4264.
