A boil water advisory for parts of Cote des Neiges and Outremont has been lifted.

The notice was issued Monday after work on Edouard Montpetit Blvd. caused water pressure in the area to drop low enough to trigger an alert.

The 25,000 residents of the area between Decelles St. and Rockland St./Cote Ste. Catherine St., and between Van Horne Ave. and Forest Rd. were affected.

The city says tests have confirmed the water is now safe to drink. Residents who have questions about the situation are asked to call 311.
