Montreal police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who injured two women in Cote-Des-Neiges early on Sunday morning.

Police said the driver sped through the intersection of Victoria and Plamondon at 1:30 a.m. when the car struck the two women, who had just exited Plamondon metro station and were crossing Victoria.

One witness said the driver was going at a high speed and never stopped.

"Two girls came from this way, they were waiting on the corner," said Sapeskaran Ratnasingam. "When the green was flashing, the girls moved. The car didn't stop at the signal, they passed the red light."

He added that one of his neighbours was almost struck by the same car just a block away.

One woman, age 21-years-old, suffered non-life threatening injuries while the other, who is 25-years-old, is in hospital in critical but stable condition.

Investigators said they are looking for a 2015 or 2016 silver Porsche Macan with a missing passenger side mirror. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
