Montreal police are seeking any possible victims of a suspect in their custody.

Carl Wattier, 40, was arrested on Dec. 15 for pimping activities. Police have reason to believe he exploited several victims from 2015 to 2017.

They allege he used violence and coercion to control people. During that time, Wattier was using apartments located at 936 Notre-Dame St. West in Lachine to recruit seven to eight young women and have them engage in sex work in the apartments.

The agency was called "Les belles de l'Ouest."

When police raided the building, they seized his computer equipment and say a preliminary analysis of certain items shows Wattier may have filmed clients during sex without their knowledge.

Wattier is a white man with a medium build. He is 1.80 metres (5’11”) tall and weighs 109 kg (240lbs). He has black hair, brown eyes and a beard.

Wattier has appeared in court to face several charges related to pimping, as well as charges of threats and possession of a prohibited weapon.

He remains behind bars until a bail hearing on Dec 29.

The investigation is ongoing and police say more charges may be laid against Wattier, including child pornography and voyeurism.

Anyone who has been a victim or who knows anyone who may have been a victim of this man, or any other witness, is urged to visit their local police station or call 911.
