Two people were hurt after a police minivan collided with another vehicle Wednesday evening in Montreal.

The crash happened at 9 p.m. at the intersection of Cremazie Blvd. and Christophe-Colomb Ave.

When the dust had settled the police van's front end was crushed by a traffic light, and a smaller white car had damage to its front and right side.

Police closed the intersection for several hours while they recreated the crash.

So far police have not said which direction the vehicles were heading, if the police car had lights and sirens on, or if either car had gone through a red light.
