MONTREAL - A conflict among young people under the influence of drugs left three injured Saturday night in Old Montreal.

Two 20-year-old men suffered serious injuries after fighting with knives inside an apartment on St-Paul St at about 7:35 p.m. Saturday. The life of neither is considered to be in danger.

As police arrived, a 25-year-old woman cut herself with a piece of glass on her wrist and neck. Her injuries are not deemed to be serious.

Another woman who had not taken drugs, was also present. She was interrogated in an attempt to explain the origin of the conflict.

Argument leads to street shooting

Later that night, a man aged in his twenties was hit with a bullet as the bars emptied Sunday morning in Montreal.

A fight between two groups of young people escalated and shots were fired at the corner of St. Catherine and Amherst.

The victim was shot multiple times in the legs.

The shooter reportedly fled in a vehicle. He appeared to also be in his twenties.
