Since 2012, there’s been a dramatic jump in the number of fines handed out to drivers speeding through construction zones.
The number of tickets handed out went from almost 10,000 three years ago to more than 50,000 in 2014.
That's primarily because photo-radar operations lasted all year long.
In 2012, the photo-radar operations started only in the month of August.
The Transport Ministry said the level of danger for workers is a factor in determining where cameras are placed.
