Police are hoping to jog someone's memory in the year-old case of a missing woman and child.
Jian Ping Li and her son, Xiao Feng Lu, have not been since the morning of April 30, 2014, when her husband left home.
When he returned to his home on Sabourin Cres. in Brossard about five hours later his wife and child were gone without a trace.
On the first anniversary of the disappearance Longueuil police are setting up a command post at the nearby intersection of Stravinski Ave. and Sabourin Cr. to distribute information about the missing duo.
Ping Li would now be 43 years old, and her son would be 18 months old.
Since the disappearance police have received dozens of tips, and have conducted multiple searches of nearby parks, rivers, and other terrain, but no solid evidence has turned up.
Her family flew to Quebec from China in July of 2014 to assist with the search, and said that Ping Li and her husband had been having marital problems prior to her vanishing.
Li stands 5’0” (1.52 m) and weighs 143 lb (65 kg) She speaks Mandarin and has shoulder-length black hair and brown eyes.
