2 vehicles set on fire in different areas of Montreal
Montreal police (SPVM) is investigating after two vehicles were set on fire in suspected arson attacks.
The first occurred at 9:30 p.m. Thursday behind an industrial building near Duchesne and Saint-Charles streets in Montreal's Saint-Laurent borough.
"When police arrived on the scene, the Montreal fire department had already controlled the fire," said Caroline Chèvrefils, a spokesperson with Montreal police. "The vehicle is a total loss."
She adds an incendiary device was found on site, but there was no damage to the property nearby.
The second incident occurred around midnight near an industrial building on St. Regis Boulevard and Deacon Street in Dollard-des-Ormeaux (DDO) on the West Island.
