Montreal police have arrested a man wanted for shooting two men in a park in St. Michel last week.

James Lee Braithwaite, 26, surrendered to police at Station 39 on Thursday morning after police issued a warrant for his arrest.

Braitthwaite is accused of shooting two men in Sienne Park around 7 p.m. on May 29 in what police say was a dispute over drugs.

One of those men survived the attack while the second died in hospital. Police say that was the eighth murder of the year in Montreal.

Police have yet to say what charges they will be recommending against Braithwaite.
