The Montreal police arson squad is investigating after a Molotov cocktail was launched through the window of a restaurant in Rosemont early Tuesday morning.

Police say the flammable object was thrown through the window at about 2:30 a.m. at Pot Masson on Masson St. near 8th Ave.

Some employees were still on site and were able to quickly extinguish the fire. No one was injured and there was only some minor damage to the site.

So far police don’t have a description of the assailant and no one has been arrested.

Investigators are inspecting the scene and speaking to witnesses.
