Masked robbers hit downtown jewelry store

Montreal police are seeking information on a late night smash and grab robbery from a downtown jewelry store Wednesday night.

At around 11:30 p.m., three suspects entered the St-Martin Hotel on the corner of de Maisonneuve Blvd and Metcalfe St., which opened earlier this year

The masked bandits smashed a window of a jewelry store in the lobby, grabbing some inventory before fleeing the scene.

The value of the stolen merchandise remains unknown.
