MONTREAL - A man in his 50s died just 7 a.m. Sunday when his van crashed into one of the supports for a railroad overpass at St. Joseph Blvd. and Iberville St. in the Plateau Mont Royal borough.
Montreal police say no one else was in the van and no other cars were involved.
Police say it's possible the man suffered some sort of health problem just before the crash.
Once known as one of the most dangerous intersections in Montreal, over 250 accidents took place in the area over a 10-year span.
The intersection was redesigned in 2002 to improve safety.
