Two people were badly injured overnight after a car in LaSalle rammed several other vehicles.

The collision happened around 3 a.m. on LaSalle Blvd. near the intersection with Stirling Ave. when the driver lost control and hit four other cars.Emergency crews rushed the driver to hospital where as of 11 a.m. he remains in critical but stable condition. The front seat passenger was also badly injured and taken to hospital for medical care.

Two passengers in the back seat refused to go to hospital.

Montreal police said they suspected the driver had been drinking alcohol and was going too fast.

 

Outremont hit and run

Meanwhile a 21-year-old man will likely be charged with impaired driving and hit-and-run after smashing into six vehicles.

The collisions happened around 11 p.m. in Outremont, with the driver coming to a halt on Bernard Ave. near Durocher Ave.

Police say the driver was alone in the car when he sideswiped multiple cars.

Nobody was injured in this collision.
