The Montreal Canadiens are warning ticket holders for Saturday night’s game against the New York Rangers that there will be extra security at the Bell Centre.

In light of this week’s events in St. Jean sur Richelieu and Ottawa, security has been beefed up, which also means there will be more control at all entrances to the arena.

Take note: No one will be allowed to exit and then re-enter the Bell Centre once they have entered the building.

The policy on bags will be strictly enforced, which means no backpack or bag larger than a briefcase will be allowed inside, and no items will be left at consignment.

Due to these measures, entry lines may be longer than usual so fans are encouraged to arrive early.

A multi-city tribute will take place before the game, from Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto, simultaneously.
