A Montreal man who required firefighters to rescue him from a St. Denis St. ditch on Wednesday may find himself in a hole-y mess.

According to the SPVM, witnesses reported seeing a man jump into the ditch near a work site at 11:00 a.m.  The fire department’s so-called “spider-man” unit was called to lift him out and he was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Police say the man may face mischief charges for the incident.

It is believed he is the owner of Wok N Roll, a restaurant located near the construction site. Police said the man has a history of problems related to the construction and has complained in the past about the slow pace of work and its effect on his business.
