Montreal police now confirm that both people found dead Wednesday in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve were murdered.

Neighbours found the bodies of a 35-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman in an apartment on Cuvillier street, near Rouyn.

Police say both victims had been stabbed, but investigators don't yet know the motive and they don't have any suspects.

Investigators remained on the scene on Thursday and a mobile forensic lab was brought into to examine what a police spokesman referred to as a "very complicated" crime scene.
