Wilde Horses

- Ignacio Piatti it was worried was having some issues when Klopas said two weeks ago that he wasn't right. Well, in this one he was very right. Piatti absolutely blasted home the opening goal and was around every ball it seemed in the first half. They adjusted to key on him in the second half. All in all though, easily the best moments of the season for the Argentine DP.

- Cameron Porter can not be a rookie. It isn't possible. Porter is everything that Andrew Wenger never panned out to be. Porter's intelligence out there is stunning for a player just out of Princeton. He so smartly dummied it through on the Piatti goal to freeze the defender. Late in the half, the series of moves were sensational to turn the defender inside out. In added time of the second half, he fired a bullet - a rocket that was labelled.

-Dominic Oduro was just a mess for the Costa Ricans with his speed. They could not handle it. A real good addition. He needs to learn how to feed it to a shooter after he has won all that space. The finishing touch is not good. One shot from the 18 yard box was a field goal. Twice Piatti was open with a pass wide and he took poor shots. Seems so simple after all of that running to feed it to the open man yet not executed. But the first 3 fourths of the equation looks outstanding.

- Toia quietly had an excellent game. Defended smartly. Positioned well. Nothing to critique harshly. This was supposed to be a hole in the line up but it doesn't look like it.

- Laurent Ciman anticipates so beautifully the game. He's there not because he is fast but because he is brilliant. What a difference in the middle with Baky compared to last year where it always broke down.

- Nigel Reo Coker again quietly doing smart work all night long. In the middle of the pitch in a holding role and he handled it all well. Experience matters.

- Cabrera because a goal is a goal and he got one. It wasn't pretty but it counted - 4 bounces or not.

- Evan Bush didn't have to make many saves but I enjoy his sense of the scoreline and how he manages the time on the clock. Bush looks way more confident on crosses than he did in the past. He's coming into his own.

Wilde Goats

- With the early yellow and continued aggressive play, Donadel was a big mistake waiting to happen but it never did. Not really a goat to be fair but it felt like he was on the verge of a goat.

Wilde Cards

- Almost 34000 at the Big O many times singing in unison. They really were the 12th man. The atmosphere at the Big O can be excellent and it was. Loved the hand that Bernier got when he came in. Class. All class. Well done fans.

- Credit to Mauro Biello too. Good subs. Good timing. Saw who was slowing.

- The score line of 2-0 gives the Impact a chance in two weeks of doing something pretty amazing. A Champions League final - imagine that.
