A second man in three days has been arrested in Montreal for online threats.

Martin Levesque, 41, of Lachine was charged Tuesday with public mischief and terrorism activity.

Levesque's computer was seized Tuesday morning after a tip from a Facebook user regarding disturbing information on the man's profile page, said Surete du Quebec spokesperson Martine Isabelle.

"Someone called the Surete du Quebec and the counter-terrorism division about something they saw or read on a website," said Isabelle, who said the page was monitored for a week before the arrest.

According to the social media page idenitifed as Levesque's, the man works at the meat counter at IGA in Pointe-Claire.

The suspect's Facebook page, which included postings about setting bombs like the FLQ did in the 1970s so Quebec can advance, was taken down Tuesday after several media reports pointed to it.

Abitbol has bail hearing Wednesday

The arrest comes after David Abitbol, 28, of Montreal North was arrested by the same counter-terrorism and cybercrime unit over the weekend.

Abitbol, known on Facebook as "David Darkiller" remains behind bars and is due back in court Wednesday.

Levesque has been released on $500 bail and is expected back in court on Nov. 26.

Violent threats are nothing new, only the medium is, said technology expert Elias Makos.

"Today, it's on blogs, it's on Facebook. In the past, it may have been done with a phone call to a radio station -- it's just changing. We have people in our society that are making these threats, they're just using new technologies to make them," said Makos.

Surete du Quebec officers are urging the public to call them at 514-598-4141 if they see any online content they feel may pose a threat to public or individual safety.
