Montreal's regional transit agency will ring in the New Year with higher fares.
They're going up from between $1 and $3 for monthly passes.
For example, a regular Zone 3 pass goes from $109 to $111.
A Zone 3 students pass will now be $89 rather than $87.
The hikes take effect on January 1.
The AMT operates five suburban train lines, with a total of 52 commuter-train stations.
They had to offer rebates last winter after a series of embarrassing delays that they blamed on Canadian Pacific infrastructure.
