Montreal's regional transit agency will offer 25 per cent discount coupons on Wednesday and later this month to users of the Deux-Montagnes train line that was plagued by delays and cancellations this winter.

The move follows similar discounts on other lines earlier this winter as the AMT dealt with widespread service problems that became a public-relations problem and even reportedly led to a scolding from the provincial transport minister.

The latest batch of coupons will count towards the cost of April and May train passes on the Deux-Montagnes line.

When and where

Coupons will be handed out at selected times on Wednesday and also on March 23 and March 30. The discount coupons for May will be handed out on April 16, 22 and 28.

Commuters can pick up their coupons from 5:45 a.m. to 10 a.m. at all stations and from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. at Central Station.

Coupons will be handed out when each train departs and arrives.
