Wednesday while at the hospital I ran into none other than hockey legend Jean Beliveau. What a great honor it was to shake his hand and speak for a few moments to both he and his wife. They were both so gracious and unassuming. They smiled, were so polite, and warm. I mentioned that I wished I had had a camera and he just replied in a neutral tone "well, maybe next time".

This is a great man, but more importantly, a very nice person. I have been on a high all day because you just don't see much of this anymore. He was not surrounded by an entourage, or security. I wasn't even sure that it was him but after thinking for about a minute I followed him down the hall. He wasn't bothered, or taken aback by my approaching him closely. He smiled just as kindly as if we were friends.

He never moved, or made a motion that seemed as if I was taking up his time. He and his wife were just really pleasant. You can see that they seem content with life.

Wow, if we could all just treat each other in this manner, "What a wonderful world this could be".

I don't think I will need a photo to remember this moment, it is permanently engraved in my memory.
