Police on the South Shore are expanding their search for a woman who disappeared on Friday.

They have set up a command post on Taggart St. near Campbell St. in Greenfield park, close to the home of 55-year-old Deborah Laurent-Gervais, and police are hoping people who live in the area will have some information about her disappearance.

Laurent-Gervais went missing on Sept. 27, and was last seen leaving a home in Greenfield Park after cleaning the house.

Police say they've searched nearby hospitals and parks, and have not seen any activity in any of her financial accounts or credit cards. Search dogs examining the area turned up no sign of her anywhere.

Officers say Laurent-Gervais had suicidal thoughts about six months ago, but had her life back on track and her family says her outlook on life had greatly improved.

Laurent-Gervais is is 1.55 meters tall (5 ft. 1") and weighs 73 kg (160 lbs). She has brown hair and speaks English. The police have asked that anyone that might have seen her contact 9-1-1 as soon as possible.
