Members of Montreal’s Muslim community joined with other citizens on on Sunday for a peace walk.
Organizers said the goal was to promote peace and harmony for Montrealers.
The walk was organized by Musabbir Alam of Peace Initiatives, along with other groups and individuals including Christina Sobhie of Concordia-area businesses and students.
City councillor Craig Sauvé spoke to the marchers, saying he agreed with their message of spreading peace.
