An Alouette's tweets once referred to a skylark singing on a branch, until that is, CFL wide receiver Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson redefined the term on Twitter with his widely-read stream of insights, remarks and quips.

The longtime NFL star, who left retirement to play for the Alouettes, has not made much of an impact on the field but he might be the most-widely read chronicler of Montreal in 2014 as he frequently related his adventures in the city with his over three million Twitter followers.

Johnson's tweets about his bad luck with parking tickets and willingness to suit up for the Canadiens to fight Boston Bruins goons were widely discussed.

But Ochocinco also told the world about his intense desire to spend a winter in the cold and snow and expressed appreciation for a city which welcomed him.
