Share

It was a warmer-than-usual New Year's Day in Montreal, with temperatures hovering just above freezing, but Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) is predicting that colder temperatures are here to stay as we kick off 2025.

According to ECCC, the weekend is expected to bring a mix of sun and cloud with chances of flurries.

Temperatures on Saturday are expected to stay around -10 degrees Celsius, though it could feel like -19 with the wind chill.

Sunday should bring a high of -11 degrees Celsius and a low of -17 degrees Celsius.

The cold but sunny weather is expected to hold steady at -10 degrees Celsius for the rest of the week, with wind chill potentially making it feel colder.
