Montreal's arson squad has been busy this week, with the latest incident being the firebombing of a food distribution company.

Shortly before midnight Thursday windows were smashed and a Molotov cocktail was thrown into John & Dino Distribution, on Magloire St. near Lafrenaie St. in St. Leonard.

The building's sprinkler system extinguished the flames before any real damage was caused.

Firefighters found the smashed window and traces of a flammable liquid at the scene, and so notified the police department's arson squad.

Earlier this week arsonists tried to burn down the Liege Restaurant in Park Extension, while earlier this month cafés in Old Montreal and RDP were targeted.

This location has been in the news before. In 2010 Agostino Cuntrera was shot and killed outside the establishment which he owned.
