MONTREAL - They have been a dominant force again this year, but Vanier College's football team is hoping for a different result in the final this time.

With eight consecutive wins to wrap up the regular season and a semi-final victory over Lennoxville, the Vanier Cheetahs are headed back to the provincial collegiate championship game.

Head coach Peter Chryssomalis told CTV Montreal the team has grown over the season.

"Going into the season we were preseason favourites, and I think maybe some of the players were thinking a little bit more of themselves then they realize that they had to perform on the field, and we buckled down and we did what we had to do," he said.

The players say it won't be difficult to get inspired for the upcoming game. Led by the formidable duo of quarterback Jeremi Roch and receiver Matthew Norzil, the Cheetahs feel they are a force to be reckoned with.

"If we don't play our A-game, we can lose, but so far we've realized also that if we do what we've got to do, nobody can play with us," Roch said.

The Cheetahs are facing Cegep du Vieux-Montreal, the same team that eliminated them in last year's semi-final.

The duel is set for Saturday afternoon in Lennoxville.
