A man and woman in their thirties are dead after getting hit by a car while waiting for a bus at the corner of Dickson and Sherbrooke E.Friday at about 3:10 p.m.
The accident occurred when a car traveling at a high speed eastbound on Sherbrooke collided with another vehicle, which in turn impacted the two pedestrians, who were waiting for a bus on the sidewalk.
The man was declared dead on site, while the woman died later in the hospital. Both were tossed several metres by the impact.
The man in the eastbound car, as well as the two women in the other car, were not seriously injured.
Police are examining video surveillance and have interviewed the driver who was reporteldy speeding but it's too early to tell whether any charges will be laid against him.
