The Olympic Stadium will be transformed into an intimate venue for a prizefight between Joachim Alcine and Delvin Rodriguez, to be held before only 1,500 spectators.

The card, which will be aired on ESPN on May 16, will feature fights in a ring near where home plate sits during baseball games, according to organizer Alandre Choko, who has worked with American promoter Joe DeGuardia of Star Boxing to promote the fight.

About 500 ground-level seats will be sold for $100 each while 1,079 seats will be available in the stands for $45 each.

Some of the proceeds will be given to the Starlight Foundation charity.

The fight between Alcine (35-7-1, 21 KO) and Rodriguez (28-7-3, 16 KO) has been dubbed the Crossroads Battle.

Alcine, 38, is a former world champion who won his second straight fight on February 22 after losing five straight.

Rodriguez, 33, has come close to a world title several times. He lost his most recent fight by knockout in the third round against Miguel Cotto.
