A fire broke out early on Saturday morning on a duck farm in Brome Lake.
While the farm was extensively damaged, no animals died and nobody was injured.
Firefighters from several municipalities were called in to fight the blaze.
In a statement, company COO Claude Trottier said buildings housing the farm's factory, administrative offices and store were total losses. He said a plan would be put in place to ensure the farm's operations continue, including using offers of help from a shareholder's facility in the United States.
"We won't be discouraged," he said. "Instead, we will focus our energy on continuing our business."
Earlier this year, a fire at the same farm killed 50,000 ducks. The company, which was founded 100 years ago, employs 180 and raises more than two million ducks per year.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
