Elias Makos got his hands on Apple latest gadget last week, and he says it's a worthy upgrade.

For one, Makos says it is the first iPhone that works well as a telephone.

"The biggest thing that they're not talking about is that it's the first iPhone that's actually a good phone," said Makos, saying the audio quality of the speakers is much better than in previous iterations.

The front and back cameras have also been upgraded, and a faster processor is hidden inside.

But Apple has made some software upgrades that may convince people to stay with their older phones.

"A lot of the great things with this phone are also upgrades for your old iPhone 4 or 3GS. There's a lot of softare enhancecenms that may keep you from upgrading," said Makos.

The biggest upgrade though is Siri, the voice recognition system that is only available on the 4S.
