MONTREAL—One suspect is on the loose in Lachine after police responded to an armed robbery on Friday afternoon at a bank at the corner of Remembrance St. and 32nd Avenue.
No one was injured in the holdup and one suspect was caught by police shortly after they were called at 3:25 p.m. The busy intersection has a large shopping centre and a National Bank outlet.
“We have information that a handgun was used, but no gunshots were fired,” said Constable Annie Lemieux. “We have a lot of information, but we need to confirm it with officers on site first.”
Police have no description of the suspect at the moment.
