SUNRISE, Fla. -- Noah Juulsen was selected 26th overall by the Montreal Canadiens on Friday at the NHL Draft.
The six-foot-two defenceman played this past season for the Western Hockey League's Everett Silvertips.
Juulsen had nine goals and 43 assists in 68 games.
The Surrey, B.C., native isn't the first Silvertip to be drafted by the Canadiens. Last year, Montreal used its 26th pick on Juulsen's teammate Nikita Scherbak.
