Every Parti Quebecois MNA in the National Assembly is now spoken for.
On Thursday Diane Lamarre announced she was supporting Pierre Karl Peladeau in his bid to become leader of the political party, giving the media baron and MNA for St. Jerome the support of nine members.
Bernard Drainville has the support of seven MNAs, while three people support Alexandre Cloutier.
Candidates Martine Ouellet and Pierre Céré were not able to get any MNAs to vouch their support for them.
Of the 29 PQ Members of the National Assembly the four with official positions in the house are remaining neutral, as are MNAs Monique Richard and Jean-Francois Lisée.
The Parti Quebecois will elected a new leader at a convention that will run from May 13 to 15.
If there is not a clear majority (50 percent) for one person, a run-off vote will be held from May 20 to May 22 between the top two candidates.
Voters will be able to cast ballots by phone on over the web.
