Quebec's new Education Minister is on a forced medical leave.
Pierre Moreau had a health emergency last week, on the day he was to be sworn in as Education Minister.
His blood pressure dropped precipitously and he also suffered a migraine.
Moreau was taken away from the National Assembly in an ambulance and spent a short time in hospital.
He is now under doctor's orders to spend several days at home resting before returning to work.
There is no word as to an exact diagnosis, nor when he will return to work.
Moreau is supposed to oversee a new round of public hearings on Bill 86, legislation to revamp school boards, that are scheduled to start on Feb. 8.
