Premier Philippe Couillard is in Edmonton this week for a meeting of provincial and territorial premiers.
The political leaders will be discussing employment and economic growth, Canada-U.S. relations, and the legalization of cannabis.
They will also be holding discussions with aboriginal leaders from across Canada.
In the past few weeks Couillard has also been discussing his hope of reopening the Canadian Constitution although there has been little support from other leaders.
