Carey Price took to the ice Wednesday morning for the first time in 20 days.
The Montreal Canadiens' goalie was injured on Oct. 29 while playing the Edmonton Oilers, but isn't ready for a game just yet.
He was stretching and skating for an hour at the Habs practice arena in Brossard.
"I feel good. Obviously everyone watched practice. My timing and everything will probably take a little while to get back," said Price.
"When ever you are away from mates you feel secluded. Definitely happy to be part of a team practice."
Dale Weise, one of the leading scorers on the team this season, said Price looked like he had not been away at all.
"He looked unbelievable! Price is so talented and he can make best look average. That's how talented he is," said Weise.
Team captain Max Pacioretty agreed.
"You go down on that end of the ice and you know you're not going to score. Carey was just Carey today and I've never seen him be any different."
During the past three weeks Price did seek out a second opinion from doctors in New York.
On Wednesday he said the trip was not made out of any fear the hockey team's medical staff were wrong in their diagnosis of his lower body injury.
"I was pretty confident in our medical staff. It wasn't to diss them at all, just I had an opportunity to do that and I had the time on my hands so I said 'why not?' It's something that a lot of players do use," said Price.
The nature of that injury? Price wouldn't say.
He also said he does not know when he will play in a game.
The Canadiens play Thursday against the Coyotes, and on Friday travel to New York to play the Islanders, before returning to Montreal to play the Islanders again.
