At a news conference, Habs head coach Michel Therrien confirmed Price sustained the injury Thursday against the Oilers. Price was in goal Thursday in Edmonton when the Canadiens wasted a 3-0 lead to lose 4-3.
He was checked out by a doctor and will miss all four games this week. The Habs play the Jets tonight, the Senators Tuesday, the Islanders Thursday and the Bruins Saturday as part of a four-game homestand.
Rookie Mike Condon will make a second consecutive start, and Dustin Tokarski was recalled from St. John's of the AHL to act as backup.
Condon is 3-0 with a 1.67 goals against average and a .944 save percentage. He backstopped Montreal to a 6-2 win in Calgary on Friday night.
