A firebomber attacked a Dairy Queen overnight, but failed to do much damage.

Around 2 a.m. Thursday the would-be arsonist smashed a window on the side of the St Michel Blvd. establishment, then tossed a Molotov cocktail inside.

The firebomb immediately sputtered out, causing no damage whatsoever.

Police officers who rushed to the scene overnight found no traces of the arsonist, but members of the arson squad are set to re-examine the ice cream bar during the day to see if they can find clues to reveal the criminal's identity.
