Twenty people are homeless following a suspicious fire in the plateau district early Tuesday morning.
The fire began in the back of a three-storey apartment building at 4536 Chambord north of Mont-Royal.
The flames spread to the rest of the building and also damaged an adjacent building.
A total of 30 people were evacuated and many of them won't be able to return to their homes.
Damages are estimated at $200,000.
The investigation has been transferred to the Montreal police arson squad.
