A fight between two women in a downtown restaurant led to both crashing through a window and falling to the ground two storeys below early on Thursday morning. 

Both women suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries, according to Montreal police.

The altercation between the two, who are both in their 20s, begin at around 3:25 am. in an establishment located on Robert-Bourassa Blvd. near President Kennedy.

Police said that during the course of the physical altercation, the women slammed into the window, breaking it.

The SPVM is investigating to determine the exact sequence of events.
