The Metropolitan Expressway was closed in both directions for half an hour overnight because of a suspicious bag.
Someone notified police at 4:40 a.m. that they had seen a large bag on the highway near St. Michel.
Police stopped traffic in both directions while they removed and examined the bag, which turned out to contain fairly normal items.
The highway re-opened at 5:10 a.m.
