Montreal police are trying to unravel what they are describing as the city’s eighth homicide of 2013.
Police were called to a home on Cobourg Ave. in the north end of Montreal Saturday at 4 p.m. and found two men in an apartment, including a 61-year-old who was unconscious after suffering serious injuries to his upper body.
He died in hospital sometime later in the evening.
The other man present was a 27-year-old. He was arrested and will likely be charged with murder.
Police did not say whether the two were members of the same family.
Montreal's other seven murders all took place in the first five weeks of the year.
