A second suspect has been arrested in the spectacular heist of a Garda truck in Pointe-Claire last month.

Stessy Beaulieu, 44, was arrested in Hemmingford on Tuesday and appeared before the court Thursday afternoon to face charges of robbery and conspiracy.

On Oct. 21, two Garda employees were held at gunpoint. Two suspects then used a pay loader, stolen the day before, to ram the back of an armoured truck on Holiday Ave., getting away with $200,000.

No one was injured.

Joseph Evrard, 54, was arrested two days later and has been charged with eight counts relating to the heist. Police said Evrard had a history of truck heists and a criminal record dating back to 1980.
